a basic make-up bag/kit should contain...?

hi guys,

so recently i've taken in an interest in make-up.
i've looked around youtube for make-up gurus & what not, 
but i'm still pretty confused at where to start. 

what are the basics that a make-up kit/bag should contain? 
& i guess what brands are good but not pricey as well..?

Can "double eyelid training glasses" make a 'double eyelid' for people with 'uneven eyelids'?

Has anyone with 'uneven eyelids' ever used the double eyelid training glasses?

The double eyelid training glasses I'm talking about are these ones:

I have a feeling that people with 'uneven eyelids' are closer to getting 'double eyelids' on their mono-lid compared to 'single eyelid' people.  Since I think the double eyelid glasses aren't too popular, I bet they don't work that well on 'single eyelid' people.  But, if it's easier to get a 'double eyelid' for 'uneven eyelid' people, maybe the double eyelid glasses can be more useful.

I would like it if people would post their experience with the double eyelid training glasses.

Skincare Advice/Routine Help?

So when my friend found out that I only use 1 type of regular cleanser, she freaked out. And got me a few Korean products for my birthday.
What she got me was:
Etude House Wonder Pore Whipping Foam (7 in 1)
Skin Food Black Sugar Scrub Foam
Nature Republic 92% Aloe Vera Gel
Also two masks, but I probably won't use those (since apparently some of the stuff she got me is multipurpose and because Super Junior is on the wrapper XD)

So I want to know, what type of routine should I use and how often?
I'm really not familiar with how to use cleansers :( 
I'm 14, Asian, and my skin is generally oily and I have quite a few (but not like outbreaks) pimples, especially on my nose.

PS: Also, my right hand, which has always had many calluses due to badminton, recently became super dry and keeps on peeling/flaking (even at the fingertips!). I currently use a type of lipid repair cream, but after one hour it always dries up again. Is there another type of cream that might be better?

What a mouthful of a name.

Anyway, I've been interested in this product because it looks like a lot of youtubers use it and there have lots of blogs online raving about this product. However, most of them were sent it for free so I'm still a little skeptical because I find it really hard to whiten my teeth. 

Has anyone ever tried this product?
Have you guys found something that effectively whitens your teeth?

did you try or heard about NuSkin ? I start with their product sin Nov 2013 - I found their Body Spa machine and Facial Spa machine are really good to use and also start notice a lot of celebrity have been use those product. Due to this company is not do any commercial therefore their maybe not much people notice with them.

Try to seach for their information with web la and I hope their product can help you!

What brand and Where?
I'm kinda content with the way I look but, I find myself getting jealous of people who have the "double-eyelids." I don't wanna get surgery O.O that's scarryyyyy...^.^"

Is there a way I can make my own eyelid tape using household materials maybe...possibly,...surely?

OR-what brand of eyelid tape do you Soompiers recommend? (I'm a TOTAL eyelid tape/glue nooooob T.T)

AND-where can I buy it?

AAAAND-which one is better? Eyelid tape? Or eyelid glue?

Creating Permanent Double Eyelids WITHOUT Surgery

With the prolonged usage of eyelid tape & glue
I've noticed that there's currently a huge beauty craze for having double eyelids right now and personally, I really wish I could have them too. I have hidden double eyelids and they can get annoying because when I put eyeliner on, my eyelid swallows it up. :ph34r:
So unless I draw the eyeliner on super thick, you cannot tell I have eyeliner on until I close my eyes..

However, I don't want to resort to surgery.
It's expensive and I don't feel comfortable with plastic surgery.. Plus, it could go wrong (rare, but it does happen).
The celebrity Park Myung Soo had it go wrong, and I know a person whose lids look really unnatural after surgery.

So.. anyways, I've been hearing about people who have gotten double eyelids WITHOUT any surgery.
My mom says her aunt use double eyelid tape over a long period of time and got permanent eyelids.

I've found someone that described in her video how she achieved these double eyelids w/out surgery.

I've read posts made by people on the internet + other forums and there are other people who claim to have gotten permanent double eyelids through this method.
Using eyelid tape and glue over a prolonged period of time may not work for everyone, but I think it's entirely possible.
The amount of time it takes to get the permanent crease varies from person to person..
One person got them after 4 years, and another person in 3 months.
They both used tape/glue every day and went to sleep with it on as well. Over time, the crease could really form and last.

Thin eyelids are the most ideal lids to create them.
They used tape during the day, glue overnight (tape wouldn't stay on well while they slept).
Since taking tape off directly causes droopy lids over time, they used makeup remover to soften the tape and then took it off that way.

So, has any one else gotten permanent double eyelids by just using glue/tape?
Have you heard of anyone with a similar story? Please share ^_^ And sorry for the kinda long post!

I have one eye with single lids and another with double lids and I prefer the one with the single eyelid ;;
And I want single eyelids on the other eye, there are many ways to get double lids out there but is it possible to do the reverse? D:

I've started having more of an interest with wearing makeup more often and taking care of my skin. But I've been so busy lately that I have no idea how some people do it. I get up as late as possible so that I get as much sleep as I can, and when I get home at night my skincare routine consists of removing the day's makeup (if any) and just washing my face with a cleanser because all I want is to fall into bed. How do you manage to find time to do your makeup in the mornings/the skin care routine at night?

Where to find a trench coat in Toronto?

I'm having the utmost difficulty in finding a trench coat for myself this Spring season. I've checked many stores already, and right now it seems like the only choice I have is the Coach one that's at $348 -_-. I thought I would love the Aritzia one, but the XXS fit a bit snug just under the arms, and the XS was just too big. If I randomly had $1.2k to spend on a Burberry, well... I wouldn't be posting on Soompi for help.  ;_; 

I'm looking for a trench coat that has a little tiny flare at the bottom (so basically it's not straight), preferably taupe, khaki, or black. 

A little about myself: What makes it difficult for me to find a good fit is that  a) I'm 5'2, and b) I don't have  a big bust. I see plenty of girls who are smaller than me with really nice trench coats, but I never bothered to ask them where they get their jackets from. 

The most I'm willing to spend is up to 300 if the jacket is just really awesome. But preferably I'd like to only spend up to 250.

Personally I find them to be super pretty and I try to replicate their makeup (hence my makeup in my dp) :p but I know some hate the look :p I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder :p what do u think??

which one worked for you?
i know there was posts about these two. i've seen so much people say likas worked better. and some people saying that kojic acid soap worked better. i was just wondering which one worked better for you? im using likas papaya soap now for almost a week, and im not sure if i see a difference. but i was wondering which soap would give better results. so please help me. : ) thank you.

16th Birthday Gift?

So my 16th birthday is coming up, and I kind of want a present from my family to make it memorable. They're also expecting me to ask for a special present anyway, haha.

I was thinking of getting either a Fossil boyfriend watch or Pandora Charm bracelet, but I can't decide!! Both are within budget range, so price wouldn't necessarily matter. Which would be more appropriate for a 16 year old girl?

Rice Water, Good For Skin?

Sorry if this is a repost, well my friend (azn_dorthoy) told me to use rice water for my skin.
She does it and her skin flawless.
So what you do is when yuor cooking rice, pour out the water you used to clean your rice with and use it on yuor face and rinse. Has anyone heard of this technique?

What you need: Silver square studs like these(ebay) or these (H&M). You will need about 30-50. 

Place your studs and secure the backs like this video. You are further distressed the trim like this video. 

It took me around 30 minutes to complete the whole project...and I am ready for SUMMER! (little too early there~)

Tattoos....

I've been wondering if tattoos are getting really played out or not. I don't know if it's me or not....but some people I know have it just because it looks nice, and then some people who have it because it has some sort of meaning to them. I just think the people who have it just because it looks nice are just trying to fit in with today's society and will regret it later in life.

With that said, is it rare now to find anyone without tattoos on their body these days? What are your opinions?
